I have no experience with warm guns and cannot for certain state that they are not happiness (I don't think they are though, just a gut instinct), but today I would nonetheless dare to refute the Beatles' claims and instead propose that happiness IS a long weekend! Sleeping in until a reasonable hour, leisurely obtaining and even more leisurely consuming coffee and brunch, making plans with people I enjoy spending time with - this is the making of that oft-elusive state of being known as true, unadulterated happiness.Which makes me wonder...what would the world look like if every day was a long weekend day? Obviously nothing would get done and all of the amenities and comforts we currently know and rely upon would cease to exist, but would every citizen of the world be happier as a result? I suppose I will never know, but this is another nice thing about long weekends - I actually have time to sit around and theorize about such things!I will certainly not have this kind of time next weekend, as a wedding which requires my attendance on Saturday and the unmissable
Toronto Virgin Festival on Sunday will be taking up the vast majority of my time, and more likely than not result in a good and proper amount of drunken revelry. And yes, you'd better believe I'm already scouring music festival chic street style for ideas as to what to wear! I'm already leaning towards plaid, flannel, layers and jean shorts (no surprises there), but I'm on the hunt for some accessories to figuratively jazz things up. Hmm. Thankfully I have time to ponder this further today.
