The end of a long weekend is, in my opinion, as awful as the weekend itself is wonderful. Today this is compounded by the fact that G and I have both caught some type of gross virus which is kind of like a worse version of seasonal allergies. As such, I cannot say that today's ensemble was particularly creative, but when in doubt I generally do one of two things: wear all black, or imitate Carine Roitfeld's arguably inimitable style - as you can undoubtedly tell, today I went with the latter:
Mind you I do not have a perma-tan acquired via regular lounging in St. Tropez, a fabulous deconstructed khaki couture skirt on, or an invitation in hand to what is probably the hottest, most superbly decadent European after-party on the planet, but well, you know...I did what I could with the means available to me.
What I DO now have potentially in common with Carine - or rather, her assistant - is an iPhone 3G (I get the feeling she's kind of above proletarian technologies such as the internet) and, while I am no gadget aficianado, I will admit that it is probably one of the best purchases I've ever made, if only for the style.com application which is honestly beyond amazing. I spent the better part of my day yesterday flicking through all of the couture collections and watching full-length video coverage of every show ever in the history of the existence of fashion shows. Yes, it is that awesome. Now excuse me while I waste time at work watching the most recent Luella collection (dissapointing to anyone but me by the way?)Wearing

ReplyDeleteI hate when long weekend come to an end :( .... but I'm excited that I still until the end of this week to relax and then uni. I love the gap shirt and I've been obsessing over gap since their look has change quite a bit and you can find ideal staple pieces. AS for your outfit, I love the combination of baby blue and beige... it's so summery:)

ReplyDeletei have that horrible seasonal virus too. actually i've had it for about 7 weeks! it's ploughing down everyone in australia for weeks on end, but i'm extra weak :)
i looove my iphone 3g, although it makes me a little too obsessed with things now, i get less important stuff done because i'm always checking out a website, a blog, my emails. ahh the constant use of the internet has made me crazy.
