Ladies & Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space

The title of this post has triple-reference value which is kind of neat to probably only me, because I occasionally geek out like that. If, however, you care to hear more about my geek-a-thon keep reading...

1. How amazing is the new Balenciaga collection? I know that everyone in the world is currently over the moon for Balmain's latest and, even though I am as well, it is really Nicolas Ghesquière's vision of gorgeous alien model-bots that's getting me riled up. Fun fact about me: I actually want to live in outer space one day. As such, how awesome would I look on a spaceship in the first look below? And at a wicked-cool extra-terrestrial party on the red sands of Mars in one of the little shiny dresses? Sci-fi couture INDEED Monseiur Ghesquière.

2. I feel as though G and I are floating in the internet's version of limbo space, considering the lack of outfit du jour posts and general inconsistency of the posts this week on Modern-Guilt. That being said, there are very good reasons for such limbo-space-dwelling, all of which will be revealed next Monday morning and that I expect that you will be pleased with on a scale of somewhat - to - very.

3. It's the name of a Spiritualized album and song. I rarely discuss my exact musical preferences on here, but I felt the need to point this one out as it is a really, really epic album and song. This is probably the most underwhelming of the three meanings to most of you, but I suggest you play the style.com slideshow of the new Balenciaga while listening to the song/album and you'll probably gain more insight into my psyche than even I possess on most days.

Adios muchachos...until tomorrow, that is.

  1. the balenciaga shoes were really odd, but i find them amazing. i think ghesquiere could come up with the ugliest, most absurd shoe ever and we'd still line up for it. come to think of it, he already has.

  2. Do you play guitar too? How cool. It's so soothing. I miss mine. When I moved (2 years ago) I sold it. I may get an acoustic this time around....

Thanks so much for the lovely outfit comment, dear. I'm anxiously awaiting your next one! :D
